Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a vision.
It's a vision that I've had since I was 12. A vision that Tyler also had (Look, Tyler! Your name is in an article!). A vision that, until recently, I didn't think I'd ever see happen. But now I have the means. I also have a reason.
Ladies and Gentlemen, my vision is to find and play the top ten video games for every game system ever made. This will not be an easy task. This will be a difficult and terribly tricky task. One, though, that I hope will be appreciated by you, the readers, TTA, and the rest of the world at large.
In MMORPGs they'd call this a life quest. A spiritual journey through the bowels of time. Maybe below the bowels, maybe in the cockle area, or even the sub-cockle area. Maybe in the liver, maybe in the kidneys, maybe even in the colon, we don't know.
Oops. Slipped into the song Asshole by Denis Leary for a second. No harm done there. In fact, I think I'm going to play the song now...there we go.
In the coming weeks, Johnson and I (perhaps even Tony and Tyler) will start compiling our lists for the simple games and simple systems. The NES, the SNES, Genesis, and the like. Then the next gen. systems, the old-school systems, the hand-helds, everything! In fact, here's my list...write me a message if I missed your favorite.
- Atari 2600
- Atari 5200
- Atari 7800
- Atari Lynx
- Atari Jaguar
- Coleco Vision
- Commodore 64
- Gameboy Advance
- Neogeo Pocket
- Nintendo 64
- Playstation 2
- Sega Dreamcast
- Sega Genesis
- Sega Saturn
- Sega System 16
- Turbo Grafix 16
- Virtual Boy
This is my dream. Well, one of my dreams, anyway. I'd also like to be rich enough to never work again. Just hang out at home and occasionally go to the mall. I also had a dream the other day that a hamburger was eating me!
Video games are awesome and I think the world is gonna be better after this list is done and compiled.
Patience, my children. Things are gonna get awesome.
